A comparative analysis of wheat and paddy farmers of Karampura village in Bihar

Majority of farmers in the Bihar region are engaged in cultivation of Wheat and Rice. Therefore, it is necessary to disclose the reality regarding cultivation of Wheat and Rice after investigating and analyzing the benefit cost ratio of of wheat and rice. To fulfill the objectives of the study Karanpura village of Bhabua district of Bihar was selected and 15 farmers of each category that is small, medium and big were selected and interviewed on growing wheat and rice. At the end the result was presented in tabular and graphical form which showed that benefit cost ratio for cultivating wheat was 2.07 1.97, 1.48 for small medium and big farmers. And in case of rice was 2.12, 2.16, and 1.64 for small medium and big farmers.
